The Intensive Programme in Law and Economics is implemented by Riga Graduate School of Law in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia, the government of Switzerland and the Unites States of America.
The Intensive Programme provides training on the legal, economic and political aspects which supplement each other to provide a comprehensive understanding of the functioning of the European Union. The Programme is six weeks long and includes a week long study visit to Brussels and Luxemburg.
Eligible countries are: Albania, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Palestine, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
The objective is to provide training that is useful with regard to the relations between on the one hand the international community and the European Union, and on the other hand the ENPcountries, Central Asia and the Western Balkans. It is also the intention of the Programme to provide a knowledge transfer that is based on the experience of Latvia and the other donors which is beneficial for the recipients.
Programme is free of charge.
