On 11 June Director of RGSL Karina Kulberga signed an agreement with Swedish Institute about a grant of the Government of Sweden in the framework of Advanced Programme in Law and Economics, for the Programme's autumn session.
Representative of the Swedish Institute Kurt Bratteby stressed that it is very important for the Eastern Partnership countries to learn about the experience of the EU integration process from Latvia, and gain necessary knowledge for the further development. The Latvian side expressed gratitude for the support provided by the Swedish government. During the meeting future cooperation opportunities was discussed.
Riga Graduate School of Law, in cooperation with the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other partners, offers an Advanced Programme aimed at public officials in the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP) countries and Central Asia, which will be open also for representatives of civil society and academia. This programme is funded by the government of Latvia together with the governments of Luxembourg, Sweden and the United States of America. It is offered with a special focus on the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP) countries and Central Asia.
The specific beneficiary countries covered are set for each programme period. The eligible countries for the autumn 2015 programme are Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
