The Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL) is proud to host its annual Student Research Paper Conference on Friday, October 9, 2026. This premier academic event showcases the exceptional research, analytical skills, and hard work of our Bachelor and Master students across a diverse range of critical legal and political fields.
Honoring Outstanding Achievement
A central highlight of the morning is the presentation of the prestigious RGSL Student Excellence Awards, presented by RGSL Director Elita Moiseja. These annual awards celebrate top academic performance by recognizing second- and third-year Bachelor students and two year Master programme students who achieved the highest marks during the 2024/2025 study year. Established to foster a motivating and healthily competitive academic environment, the excellence awards grant four outstanding students tuition fee waivers of 500 EUR for their dedication and brilliant results.
Cutting-Edge Legal Debates
Throughout the day, students will present their research papers across six distinct, faculty-moderated parallel panels. The presentations tackle highly relevant global and local challenges, including:
- International Humanitarian Law, Conflict, and Global Security
- Balancing Sovereignty and Fundamental Rights
- Legal Boundaries and Patient Rights in Modern Healthcare
- Modern Challenges in Digital Law and Cybercrime
- Private Law, Contracts, and Corporate Governance
- Financial, Tax, and Digital Privacy Law
Members of the RGSL community, faculty, staff, and students are warmly invited to attend, support our young researchers, and celebrate their remarkable academic milestones!
