We are delighted to share that Viktorija Soņeca, PhD, Visiting Lecturer at Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL), together with RGSL student Iļja Osipovs, have published a case comment in Concurrences, a leading international journal dedicated to competition law. The article comments on an important judgment of the Latvian Supreme Court in Case No. SKC-16/2025 concerning cartel damages and the private enforcement of competition law. It examines the temporal application of the EU Damages Directive 2014/104 and the evidentiary standards for proving loss in follow-on damages actions - issues that are highly relevant for competition law practice both in Latvia and across the European Union. This publication is a wonderful achievement and a proud moment for RGSL. It reflects the quality of legal education and research at RGSL, as well as the value of academic mentoring and collaboration between lecturers and students. Warm congratulations on this excellent publication!
