Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL) is delighted to announce that Dr. Aleksandrs Potaičuks has been elected and accredited as Associate Professor by the Joint Professorial Council in Legal Science of Rīga Stradiņš University, Daugavpils University, and the Turība University on 5 March 2026.
Dr. Aleksandrs Potaičuks has a career in both the professional and academic worlds. He has served as Judicial Counsellor in both the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court of Latvia, and is currently a sworn advocate and member of the Latvian Collegium of Sworn Advocates. Combining both tracks, he provides our students with exceptional theoretical and practical knowledge and is highly valued by them.
He has also made an exceptional contribution to the institution's academic community: he has taught administrative law, EU law and data protection across Bachelor's and Master's programmes; participated in RGSL governance bodies; represented RGSL by delivering guest lectures at various foreign universities; and, most importantly, mentored dozens of students in their research and professional growth. His publications focus internationally on the intersection of privacy and data protection, public governance, constitutional law and EU law, and always offer a forward-looking perspective.
RGSL warmly congratulates Dr. Potaičuks on this richly deserved promotion and looks forward to the continued impact of his research, teaching, and leadership within the School and the broader European academic community.
