On Thursday, 3 April Ph.D. student Arina Melse is presenting thesis for her research „Current developments in the ECHR regime: underlying trends and the role of regime interaction”. Presentation is open for faculty members of the RGSL to engage in the discussion about the researched issues and to give valuable feedback for the further development of the thesis. Presentation is taking place at 15:00 - 17:00 in room W20.
Riga Graduate School of Law and the Faculty of Law at the University of Copenhagen announced the launch of a joint Ph.D. Programme in Law with specialisation in International and European Law in 2013. Studies are conducted in English, with half of the study programme to be carried out at RGSL and the remaining part at the University of Copenhagen. Currently 3 Ph.D. students have been admitted to the programme.
To be considered for the Ph.D. Programme, an applicant must have an LL.M. or equivalent degree in law. Successful applicants will be enrolled in both universities and, subject to available funding, will be employed by RGSL as junior faculty members in the capacity of a research fellow. The duration of the full time programme is three years. Upon the successful completion, the Ph.D. in International and European Law will be jointly conferred by the two universities.
