On 19 and 20 January 2017 Riga Graduate School of Law will organize a unique executive course in Law Firm Management, Leadership and Marketing in Tallinn, Estonia. The course is aimed at partners and management level lawyers (specialist counsel, associates) of law firms in the Baltic States and Nordic countries who are daily confronted with these issues and want to improve their knowledge of office management and marketing issues. The course will be useful for those who are considering joining a law firm on order to better understand basic operational principles and problems. The first part of the course will cover topics such as: structure of law firms, team work and motivation, leadership skills, trends and innovations in the market. The second part of the course covers law firm financial management, including best practices in cashflow and budget planning plus control and rate setting. A significant part of the course will be devoted to marketing and business development, covering, e.g., the marketing mix, client relations, sales, and networking value. The course will combine explanations of theoretical concepts with case studies and discussions. RGSL is happy to announce that Baiba Rubesa, RB Rail Chairman of the Board, will give a lecture during the seminar on business management and cooperation with lawyers.
