On 8 March RGSL hosted Open Days event with a following programme:
- Discussion „Latvia’s Presidency of the EU Council in 2015 – prospects and outlook”
- Open Day presentations
In order to win a game, the player should undertsand the rules before playing. Riga Graduate School of Law and the student organisation “Upward Association” organized discussion on the Latvia’s Presidency of the EU Council in 2015, the challenges ahead of EU affairs specialists and a broader range of professionals and the public.
Guest speakers at the event:
- Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to Latvia, Frank Arnauts
- Head of the Secretariat of the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the EU, Inga Skujiņa
- Dr.Phil.in Political Science, lecturer in European Politics at RGSL, Ilze Rūse
Speakers discussed the role of the EU Council Presidency, preparations, opportunities and challenges for the country and people, as well as the experience of other countries that had the role. Moderator for the discussion was Santa Bērziņa, “Upward Association” chairwoman.
After the discussion, RGSL informed about the RGSL study programmes and offered to meet our faculty members and students.
