On 24-25 November a Plenary Session of the Academic Network on Judicial Studies “Gaps, barriers and innovations in legal education and judicial training” was held in Brussels and it was hosted by Université Libre de Bruxelles. RGSL was represented by Prorector Martins Mits who made a presentation on the content of continuing legal education for judges and prosecutors.
Earlier this month, on 4 November, a preparatory meeting of the Task Force 4 was held in Lisbon. Task Force 4 deals with professional training of judges and prosecutors and RGSL is a member of this particular task force.
The Academic Network of Judicial Studies “Menu for Justice” is financed by the European Union and it creates a broad partnership among 50 institutions, in 30 European countries. The aim of this Academic Network is to develop proposals for curicula in the field of courts and judges and justice administration and it focuses on undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate and professional legal education.
