Continuing to provide support to the public administration of the Republic Uzbekistan in implementing administrative reforms, Riga Graduate School of Law, in cooperation with project partners the Baltic Center for Media Excellence and the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, organize in-depth specialized mentorship programme in investigative journalism. The programme is organized from 2 to 28 February 2026 for journalists, civil activists, bloggers, and students of journalism who continue to participate in further project activities.
During the mentorship programme participants will have opportunity to develop their own investigative journalism research plan under the guidance and mentorship of project experts: Inga Spriņģe, journalist from Latvia and Lola Islamova, journalist and media expert of the Modern Journalism Development Centre in Uzbekistan. With support and guidance of experienced experts participants will improve professional competences on the investigative journalism performance on series of topics related to investigative research planning; ethics in journalism; data collecting and processing methodologies; financial management and planning; multi-platform storytelling for different platforms; strategies for community engagement; strengthen support against harassment and attacks on journalists.
The project is co-funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and the European Commission. Lead partner in Latvia is the Central Finance and Contracting Agency.
