We are delighted to begin the new academic year by welcoming 127 Bachelor students from 12 countries to our school campus. This year, students come from Azerbaijan, Chile, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Israel, Canada, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Turkey, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan.
The new students were welcomed by Dr. Inga Kačevska, Chairwoman of the Board of RGSL, Laura Kadile, PhD, Director of Bachelor programmes, as well as Ieva Zariņa and Toms Putniņš, President and Vice-President of the RGSL Student Association, and other SA members.
“We are all starting the new academic year with one aim – taking the next step of the stairs of knowledge and research,” Laura Kadile, PhD, told the students. “Think of this journey as a high-speed road. Knowledge moves fast—but it’s not a race without risks. Like on any motorway, we must be aware of the signs, the bumps, and the moments when we need to slow down and reflect. And that’s exactly what your time at university is for – to develop not only your knowledge but also your ability to navigate these complex variations.”
“And the good news is—you get to choose your own vehicle. Some of you might go for Tesla, racing through every lecture and deadline. Others may take the scenic route, making thoughtful stops along the way in their 1950 Porsche cabriolet.
You’re becoming a future lawyer, entrepreneur, diplomat, or something you haven’t even imagined yet. This has been your choice, which at this stage aligns with your interest in law, business, and diplomacy.
What I can promise you is this: you won’t be alone on this journey. Our academics, staff, and university community are here to guide you. You are not in a Tesla without a driver — until the day AI fully replaces us (which, we hope, is not too soon), we will be here, present and committed.”
Welcome to RGSL!
