On 3 November, RGSL officially launched the 18th Intensive Programme in EU Law and Economics for European Neighbourhood Policy and Central Asia countries.
Welcoming 20 participants from eight countries, the programme was opened with remarks from the RGSL Director, Sarma Jēča and from the Director of the Development Cooperation Policy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia, Egita Lase.
We are grateful to the United States Embassy in Latvia and to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia for the continuous support and cooperation on this programme. The objective of the programme is to promote knowledge and understanding among the professionals of public administration, NGO’s and academia in partner countries regarding the legal, political and economic functioning of the European Union, as well as to share the experience of Latvia as an EU Member State.
The Intensive Programme is held in Riga with in-person attendance. The curriculum includes a study visit to Brussels for meetings with officials at the EU institutions.
