RGSL Vis-Moot team: “The 31st Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot was an enriching experience that provided the 2024 RGSL Vis Moot Team with valuable insights into the complexity of international arbitration, the use of the International Chamber of Commerce arbitration rules, and the application of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
More than just an academic endeavour, the 31st Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot created a vibrant international community. This environment allowed the team to advance their written and oral advocacy over seven months and forge connections with fellow aspiring legal professionals from diverse cultural backgrounds. These connections are not just personal, but they also enhance future professional collaborations and cultivate a global perspective essential for navigating the complexities of today's interconnected legal landscape.
The 31st Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot may have been a challenging journey. However, it undeniably serves as a cornerstone in constructing a lifelong reservoir of experience. With the endless support from all those who helped the team on their journey, specifically the team's coaches, Associate Professor Aleksandrs Fillers and Katrīna Salmgrieze, the team's participation reflects the support of RGSL to its students in pursuing every occasion to cultivate their skills.”
