A group of senior law enforcement officials from Uzbekistan started a five-day study visit in Latvia. The visit is supported by the U.S. government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia. During the stay in Riga, Uzbek officials will explore Latvia’s experience in public administration reform, transparency and anti-corruption. Throughout the week they will meet experts to discuss Latvia’s lessons in implementing reforms in the civil service and in law enforcement agencies. They will also visit the Defense, Home Affairs and Corruption Prevention Commission at the Parliament and the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Latvia.
