With two interdisciplinary Bachelor programmes “Law and Business” and “Law and Diplomacy”, strong international environment, top professors from all over Europe and vibrant student life, our students and alumni believe the Riga Graduate School of Law (RGSL) has been a great choice for them.
Katariina Komulainen (Finland), Law and Diplomacy Bachelor programme student: “At RGSL studies are extremely student orientated. In Finland, the emphasis is on conservative and subject-based teaching and learning whereas RGSL has adopted agile and continuous improvement in their core functions that enable the student satisfaction to be high at a constant rate.”
Seema Murtuza (Bangladesh), Law and Business Bachelor programme graduate: ''What made RGSL stand out was its interdisciplinarity. I will forever be indebted to RGSL for the opportunities, experience and friendships it has enabled. RGSL is more than a school, it is a community, a family of students, academics and lecturers alike who are open and willing to go one step beyond what is required; and it is that one extra step that makes RGSL a RGSL.”
Viola Karjalainen (Finland), Law and Business Bachelor programme graduate: “I first came across with RGSL when I was searching for a law school that provides bachelor programs in English. I then noticed that the university will be presented at the student fair “Studia” in Helsinki, and after talking with the representatives there I decided to apply. I am extremely happy with my choice; the three years at RGSL have been truly amazing.”

Studies
Careers in law, business or diplomacy is in the core of what we offer. Studies in English, strong international environment and interdisciplinarity are the main reasons our students choose us.
According to a 2017 report by the Institute for the Future, 85% of the jobs that will exist in 2030 haven’t been invented yet. Therefore our challenge is to think ahead and equip our students with the skills allowing to navigate a difficult global job market.
We are in constant dialogue with our students and employers to improve our interdisciplinary approach and create new courses and teaching modules. Our ambition is to form permanent learners and promote the idea that, although sometimes challenging, learning is essentially pleasure.

Our faculty consists of scholars and professionals from all over Europe, and we gather guest professors and lecturers from top European universities.
As a small law school, students and faculty know each other by name, and more often than not, the students enter the professional world via the contacts they obtained during studies.
Life after graduation
Our Alumni surveys show that 92% of our graduates are employed, and 58% of them have started study-related, professional job already during their studies. Erasmus and other internship opportunities offered by our industry partners – various law firms, businesses and startups as well as Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia and various embassies in Riga and abroad, certainly help.
