The Nordplus Law Network, which was created more than 20 years ago, today comprises 25 Nordic and Baltic schools specializing in the field of law from Denmark (University of Copenhagen, University of Southern Denmark, Aarhus University, Aalborg University), Estonia (University of Tartu), Finland (University of Helsinki, University of Lapland, University of Turku, University of Eastern Finland and Åbo Akademi), Iceland (University of Iceland and Reykjavik University), Latvia (Riga Graduate School of Law), Lithuania (Mykolas Romeris University), Norway (University of Oslo, University of Bergen, the Arctic University of Norway, University of Stavanger) and Sweden (Karlstad University, Stockholm University, Örebro University, Lund University, Uppsala University, Umea University and University of Gothenburg).
Since August 2025, the network has entrusted the coordination to Riga Graduate School of Law.
The overall goal of the network is to reinforce academic cooperation between its members through systematic exchange of cultural and professional experience and best practices, thus ensuring and strengthening Nordic and Baltic solidarity and cultural understanding. The cooperation within the network takes form of extensive and well-established academic mobility of students and the exchange of teaching staff, which increases knowledge of different Nordic-Baltic legal cultures and develops intercultural and professional know-how.
The network is open to new members training legal professionals and having developed a wide range of courses at advanced level offered for Nordic and Baltic exchange students. The network has moved towards Erasmus+ funding for long-term mobility and its current focus is on creating blended learning as well express and short mobility opportunities.
