The fifth Summer School in International and European Law of the Riga Graduate School of Law, under the scientific supervision of RGSL Professor Ineta Ziemele, will take place from July 28 to August 6, 2025.
The theme of the Summer School is “Will the world order endure?” In light of this question, the Summer School participants will be invited to examine and discuss several topics of international and European law and institutional policy.
The Summer School faculty will RGSL Professor, Judge of the Court of Justice of the European Union Dr. Ineta Ziemele, RGSL Professor Dr. Ilze Rūse, Advocate General of the Court of Justice of the European Union Laila Medina, and Judges of the General Court of the European Union Dr. Pēteris Zilgalvis and Inga Reine.
We are honored to present as a special guest Andrejs Pildegovičs, Ambassador-at-Large and Head of the Secretariat of the Secretariat for Latvia’s candidacy for the UN Security Council.
As usual, the Summer School will consist of several major topics, namely international law, the European Convention on Human Rights, European Union policy and European Union law. European Union law, in turn, will be viewed through the prism of the latest case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the General Court.
