Criteria for admission to RGSL Bachelor degree programmes:
- Proficiency in English confirming at least level B2 or higher in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR):
TOEFL IBT (Test of English as a Foreign Language) - the required score is at least 550 points (for a computer test - 213; Internet-based test at least 72);
TOEFL Essential - at least 8 points;
IELTS Academic Test (not older than 2 years) - the required score is at least 5.5;
CPE (Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English)/C2 Proficiency: any level;
CAE (Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English)/C1 Advanced: any level;
FCE (First Certificate in English)/B2 First: at least level B;
PTE (Pearson Test of English) General: at least level B2;
PTE (Pearson Test of English) Academic: at least 51 point;
LanguageCert International ESOL at least Level Communicator B2 (Written and Spoken exams)
The results of the centralised English language examination (for reflective students from Latvia), which corresponds to at least the B2 level;
Applicants who have acquired previous education in English or are native English speakers are exempted from taking Proficiency tests in English (unless it conflicts with the conditions for obtaining a temporary residence permit in Latvia).
- Centralised examination results of the secondary general education from applicants from Latvia in Mathematics, Latvian and English.
- The average grade in the diploma supplement corresponds to the ECTS level of C or higher (at least 7 points).
- The results of the interview (if applicable).

Admission criteria for Masters programmes
- All masters programmes are available to students who have completed a bachelor, masters or equivalent degree in law or a related field (on the condition that basic knowledge of law and corresponding work experience can be demonstrated).
- For students with a three-year bachelor degree, options are limited to the two-year masters programmes.
- Proficiency in English, confirming at least level B2 or higher in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). For documents that confirm adequate proficiancy see section: “Documents”.
